Today for review, we have a truly remarkable garden tool.  It is called the CobraHead® Weeder and Cultivator for obvious reasons.  But the backstory behind this creative tool is just as fascinating as its design. For a quick history lesson, we turn to the creator of this tool, Noel, who states "the blade shape is called a cultivating tine" which was created almost 150 years ago.  

But today, that innovative design has been re-engineered with the latest technologies incorporating eco-friendly bio-plastic made right here in the USA.  In fact, every part of this tool, from design to manufacturing is handled right here in America, with steel coming from the Great Lakes and recycled plastic manufactured in Iowa.   Being made in America guarantees that this is a high quality product, right?  Well let's see how the CobraHead stands to our rigorous testing, and if the weeder holds its own as "The Best Tool In Earth!"

Quality:  ‡‡‡‡‡ (5 Leaves)  The CobraHead® is a lightweight tool. We mean it is literally very lightweight.  This is attributed to the combination a flax additive in the recycled plastic handle which also makes the handle stronger than pure plastic, erfect for the home gardener and landscape professional alike.  But being light on its feet doesn't mean it can't handle the battles of daily use in tough soils and rocky terrain. The blade is a thick, knife-quality "Steel Fingernail®" perfect for turning through hard, rocky soil. All-in-all, American ingenuity shows its best through the CobraHead® Weeder and Cultivator, as the first quality tool we've seen in a long time which could easily last to be passed from generation to generation.

Ecological Consideration: ‡‡‡‡‡ (5 Leaves)  As a garden tool, we hope that each and every one would consider some sort of ecological approach.  Well, the CobraHead® meets and exceeds our expectations.  The design incorporates recycled polypropylene (a plastic) into every tool, with a handle completely manufactured by a bio-plastic provider right here in America.  Each weeder now features a new E-Coat epoxy as well, protecting the head from rust and keeping it tough.  The durable coating is an organic polymer which won't put any chemicals into your soil, making this tool perfect for organic home gardeners.

Function:  ‡‡‡‡‡ (5 Leaves)  Finally, just how did the tool work?  Well, the gentle curve of the weeder arm made the task of weeding surprisingly more comfortable.  With an ergonomic twist, the wrist action of traditional weeders is minimized making it easy even for someone with arthritis to tend their garden.  Whether on the farm or in a small patch of urban paradise, this tool will make weeding a breeze.
